What it’s like to Stop Making Sense

Shotgun Cinema is holding their third annual no-chairs, all-dancing screening of Jonathan Demme’s seminal 1984 concert documentary, Stop Making Sense. In the years past, giant groups of people sung along with David Byrne, they pranced like Tina Weymouth, and they toasted the late (and immeasurably great) Bernie Worrell. You can do it all again on Saturday, December 2 at the newly christened Court 13 Arts warehouse (2801 Franklin Ave).

In case you’re wondering what you’re in for:

Doors for Stop making Sense open at 6:00 PM for installation viewing, with the film starting at 9:00 PM. Food from Gattone Grasso will be available, and drinks will be available by donation. The Good, the Bad, and the Fugly will host a pop-up thrift shop. Bike valet is once again provided by Bike Easy. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door day of show.
