All thoughts of chores have taken flight
Floating with the leaves,
Fluttering in the breeze
The self dances to the soul’s delight.

Footprints: The Singing Oak in City Park
The Singing Oak is a seemingly typical oak tree located on the south end of City Park. Once under the oak, one can see and hear the wind chimes, ranging from 14 feet in length to some as small as a single foot, tuned to the pentatonic scale. The Oak offers an escape to park goers and the opportunity to experience the ever evolving modernity, and Madeline Laborde has her take on what these chimes mean.
