Dancing with Miss Helen: Oh Yeah!       10/22/13

Helen, you couldn’t get out of bed today,

but you moved whatever you could.

I could see your foot tapping under the covers

and your dancing thumb was as precise as ever.

At times we even scatted together!

And you punctuated the end of every song

with your signature, “Oh Yeah!” 

You may be fading from us but the magic remains.

In the end you grabbed my hand and kissed it hard

to bless the hand that danced with yours…

Oh yeah!
