Richard Goodman is an Assistant Professor of Creative Nonfiction Writing at the University of New Orleans. He is the author four books, "French Dirt: The Story of a Garden in the South of France"; "A New York Memoir"; "The Bicycle Diaries: One New Yorker’s Journey Through 9/11"; and "The Soul of Creative Writing". His essays, reviews and articles have appeared in The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Harvard Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, River Teeth and The New Orleans Times-Picayune. He is Creative Director of Storyville, a collaboration between WWNO radio and graduate writing students at the University of New Orleans.
