The New Orleans Film Festival is a month-long event which hosts hundreds of film showings, both in-person and virtual. The festival shows films from a plethora of genres, from short animation films, to climate films, to LGBTQ+ films. The diversity of the films and their genres is what makes the film festival such an amazing experience. You are able to explore films about topics you like, or topics you’d like to learn more about. There were over 3000 submissions from 32 different countries. There are festival passes available, where you have access to every film or there are individual tickets for sale- and some films are free. There are theatres all over the city showing the films, giving you a chance not only to explore film but explore the city.
