On The Family Trip: Her Smile
If I die before
my granddaughter
grows up,
I will die knowing
that I’ll be remembered,
even if she doesn’t
remember me…
I will know it
by virtue of the smile
she gave me when
I happened to be
the first person
she saw this morning
on the family trip.
