Saturday, February 22/Okay Bar (1700 Port Street): Do you ever wish you could turn back time? Yeah, neither do we (our history is super awful). But, we do love to hear music that was pressed on records and inspired people to dance in their socks, and Anne Glaviano will be spinning those 45s on Saturday. She is holding her bi-monthly Heatwave! dance party, so when you are done dancing in the streets, you can take it inside. The dancing begins at 10:00 PM and goes until 2:00 AM. There’s no cover, and you can get full details here.

Saturday, February 22 and Tuesday, Febrauary 25/Vintage Rock Club (1007 Poydras): If you’re looking for some viewing parties for the parade, then Vintage Rock Club has got your spot for Endymion and Zulu. For Endymion, they’ll be open from 12:00 PM until 2:00 AM with a $20 cover (entry fee includes one drink). VIP Sections will be available for rent with a minimum spend of $150 per hour. For Zulu, they’re opening their doors early with a 9:30 AM start time until whenever it all ends. Again, it’s a $20 cover (entry fee includes one drink). Sections will be available for rent with a minimum spend of $150 per hour. If you want to high-roller reserve a spot, you call this number: (504) 308-1305.

Sunday, February 23/Generations Hall (310 Andrew Higgins): You ready to Bacchus Bash in 2020? Yes, we’ve been waiting a full year to say that! This free, 14-hour block party (OMG, can life get any better?) kicks off at 12:00 PM on Sunday. The 36th Annual Bacchus Bash will feature Mannie Fresh, Flow Tribe,The TopCats, Category 6 and many others. The indoor/outdoor party showcases several stages, some of the city’s best local bands and great Mardi Gras drink specials. This year’s Bacchus Bash will also feature multiple DJs including nationally renowned Brooke Evers, DJ Wixx and DJ TAF. The party is free and open to the public, but VIP tickets are available for $100 each and include access to the outdoor grandstand, a premium open bar and a private indoor area with bathrooms.
