Helen keeps time with the beat, perfectly …
Sitting in her wheel chair,
Dancing hand to hand,
Swaying side to side,
Singing, smiling …
With the hint of a shimmy
She draws me into herself,
Drawing me out of myself,
And with a gasp of jubilation
She expels the poison of the day.
And I think to myself
This might be the best thing
I have ever done.
