For the second year, NOLA Art House Music, a next-generation collaborative of some of New Orleans’ finest professional jazz musicians; NolaVie, New Orleans’ cultural website; and Dickie Brennan’s Tableau Restaurant present a one-night-only holiday jazz tribute, Le Petit Noel. The performance will be held at the beautifully restored historic Le Petit Theatre, 616 St. Peter Street on Saturday, December 13, at 8 p.m.
A post-concert reception for all ticket holders, courtesy of Tableau, will take place immediately following the performance, which will feature festive beats from Duke Ellington’s jazzed up take on the Nutcracker Suite to beloved seasonal songs and some musical surprises.
Hosted by New Orleans morning news personality Jay Galle and with a band led by trumpeter Edward Anderson the evening will feature internationally renowned clarinetist Evan Christopher, soulful rising star vocalist Erica Falls, singing legend Wanda Rouzan, the great guitarist and bassist Papa Don Vappie, pianist, composer Matt Lemmler and others. Le Petit Noel will be an evening of warm holiday joy and a true “only-in-New Orleans” musical experience.
Reserved tickets are $30 each and include post-concert hot chocolate and Christmas cookies, a holiday gift from Dickie Brennan’s Tableau Restaurant. For concert tickets call 504-522-2081, Tuesday – Saturday 11a.m.-4 p.m. or vistit www.lepetittheatre.com.
