Editor’s Note: Lindy’s Place was started on the premise of community helping community, and it has continued to grow and spread its love to women in New Orleans. Housing the homeless, addicts, or women who have lost their way, Lindy’s Place provides a safe space for women and a launching pad into a new life. UNO student and filmmaker Melissa McLain spent time at Lindy’s place to hear women’s stories and see Lindy’s Place in action.
