I am not known for being particularly adventurous. On most nights I’m pretty busy snuggling up in my bed, browsing the internet or reading a book—maybe eating some plain Cheerios—so I don’t roam the streets of New Orleans much with my camera equipment in tow. However, when I actually manage to get my bike and my tripod out, shooting in the evening is something that really reminds me why I love photography. It can be challenging, but the lack of light forces you to experiment with light, time, and color in ways that can lead to beautiful, unique images—images that would be impossible to make during the day. I had a lot of fun creating this series, and I plan on doing a lot more night photography in the future. I hope you enjoy!
