In modern day, my phrase is commonly used. The phrase was fostered by rap, and the phrase “on my mama” is now used amongst the younger generation. It’s less commonly said by elderly or old people. The phrase “On my mama” means “I swear,” or “I am not lying.”

Here is a scene of how a person would use this phrase. “Hey, Don, do you have John’s hot Cheetos?”  Richie asked.

“No,” Don said.

“Are you lying,?”

“On my mama, I didn’t eat it!” Don exclaimed.

In rap the phrase is often used as an adlib — generally excessive improvised or unrehearsed lyrics that are frequently used in rap.
