The Answer

If it’s true that one day

the universe will disappear,

along with everything in it,

One can’t help wondering,

“Why bother?”

And if everything that has existed

will disappear without a trace

that it ever had existed,

What difference would it make

what one does or doesn’t do?

The answer is in the asking.
