The poetic city: “Hurricane Prep”

Hurricane Prep

Getting ready…

Trimming branches,
making cuts sharp and clean.

But Nature doesn’t clip.

She prefers to tear and rip
with no mercy and
and no second thoughts

Fairness and forgiveness
are foreign to her lexicon,

Except by way of  Death
where all are equal, all is reconciled,

And the gift of impermanence
shines with Eternal Grace
