It is GiveNOLA day, and we at ViaNolaVie would love your support. The recent changes in legacy journalism have impacted resources given to coverage of local arts, events, non-profit organizations and soft news coverage in general. And that’s our focus — the “second day” stories, the behind-the-scenes pieces, the under-radar, quirky New Orleans narratives that might otherwise be missed, and we added an educational outreach program on top of it.
We work with four universities (Xavier, Bard Early College, UNO, and Tulane) as well as dozens of high schools to bring journalistic writing to emerging writers.
