Bring your own: “Liberty and Justice for All” by Fausto Garcia

Bring Your Own is a nomadic storytelling series that takes place in living rooms, backyards and other intimate spaces within the community. Each month, seven storytellers have 7 minutes to respond to a theme. BYO airs on “All Things New Orleans” and is a biweekly podcast on WWNO.org.

For this live-narrative, BYO partnered with the New Orleans Workers Center for Racial Justice and later produced by Colleen McLellan. The theme of the evening was “Moved” and Fausto Garcia chronicles the fight for liberty, justice, and employment in the land of opportunity.

*You will hear Garcia speak in his native Spanish, with a translator in the forefront.
