The Regional Planning Commission and Jefferson Parish are holding forums this week to provide citizens with an overview of the planning process as well as an opportunity to voice ideas and concerns about cycling in the parish. Additionally, attendees will learn about what makes a community bicycle-friendly and what national models can be looked to for inspiration.
The first meeting will be held tonight:
Jan. 28, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
East Bank Regional Library’s Napoleon Room
4747 W. Napoleon Avenue, Metairie.
The second meeting will take place Wednesday:
Janu. 30, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
West Bank Regional Library’s Meeting Room
2751 Manhattan Boulevard, Harvey.
Residents who may not be (but even those who are) able to attend the meetings are encouraged to give their input by taking the Jefferson Parish Bike Plan’s Citizen Survey located at their website, www.jeffparishbikeplan.org.
