Consider Prelude, a Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra program that helps new audiences experience classical music. Through discounted ticket prices and social events, members have access to the orchestra and are able to interact with their peers at six special events during the course of the concert season.
This year, the LPO has made changes to make Prelude bigger and better. There are more events and more benefits, including a Prelude Plus membership option that includes a subscription designed specifically to enhance membership.
The Prelude membership is $50 and includes one free ticket to any LPO concert (excluding Yo-Yo Ma), complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres at select events, a 35 percent discount on all Prelude concert seats and a 10 percent discount on everything else.
The Prelude Plus membership is $100 and includes all of the above as well as tickets to five major concerts during the year. The opening night event will take place Wednesday, Sept. 19 at Tipitina’s. For more information visit www.lpomusic.org.
