What: World War II Museum and their revisit to the war era in song and dance with its Stage Door Canteen.

Film by: UNO student and filmmaker Anna Holley

Editor’s Note: NolaVie partners with students of UNO professor László Zsolt Fülöppairing them with artists, non-profits, environmental groups, and cultural entities to facilitate a live curriculum that results in a short documentary. In this short doc entitled “Let Freedom Swing,” UNO film student Anna Holley interviews some of the actors behind the show, lifting the curtain on what it takes to authentically recreate the costumes, staging and songs of the era.

The Film and Theatre Department of UNO and NolaVie present this weekly series of short films produced by the students in Laszlo Fulop’s documentary class. Read Renee Peck’s column about the program here.
