New Orleans charter schools are failing English language learners
On January 21, New Orleans Public Schools decreed that they will remain with distance learning for at least another week, but many are questioning the best way to approach children's education. Many are saying that Covid-19 is exposing the failures that are already present in the school districts. New Orleans' Spanish and Vietnamese speaking populations are increasing and the city's charter school's are ill-prepared to properly teach these students.
